Old Dad Shook Roofing

I agree that they did a great job with my roof and at a reasonable price. I was very happy after the installation. A big problem with this company, however, is that once your roof is installed, they don't answer phone calls or emails to come for repairs. They agreed to a repair and never kept their word to come after a year. If you're ok with never getting them to assess your roof once it's put on, I highly recommend them.

Really pleased with my new roof from Shook Contracting. The job was completed on time and they quoted me the best price after getting estimates from ten contractors. It was a big job and I was anxious to begin, but I didn't need to worry at all. The job was done so well and I'm really happy with how it looks and the value it has added to my home!

We have duplexes and apartment buildings. Old Dad Shook has replaced a roof on a duplex building for us last year at a really fair and competitive price! The guys do great work! Just had a roof repair due to the storms and their emergency price has not changed in 20 years! I am not exaggerating. Being a commercial customer and we still get the great pricing of a home owner!

These guys don't play around and waste time. They do the job fast and right! I wouldn't go to another roofer ever! They have had the same employees for over 15 years. Some longer. That tells you what a good company it is when it retain the workers. Emergency repairs; whole roofs; slate roofs; gutters and downspouts and so much more. Never happy having roofing issues, but always know who I can count on for a great job done professionally at a good price!

Called and emailed about a problem. I received a poorly written email response from a Gmail with the name "shook" in it. Upon my reply for clarification as to when exactly they were going to come out and see the problem I received a more menacing email in all caps with a specific day. I replied in confirmation, that day came and went, I have never heard anything back since. Can't imagine what the work quality is if they get angry at the sheer idea of showing up to talk about it.

Had Old Dad Shook repair some damage to my roof that was created by city workers. They came out early on a decent day in January and finished everything up by 2PM. Nice looking work, and better yet no more leaks. The work was done 5 months ago and we have had absolutely zero problems. Pretty decent price too!

I have used Shook on two occasions now and I could not be happier with my decision. The second time I used them, I was selling my house and needed some work done from the inspection. Although they were very busy on other big projects, they were able to jump over to my place to get it done knowing the buyer wanted it done ASAP. I dealt with the owner, foreman and assistant in the office. All three of them were very nice and great to work with. I highly recommend Shook for any project.

Hired Old Dad Shook to do a job. when it wasn't finished, the owner called me requesting final payment. I did not want to make the final payment prior to having an expensive job finished for my concern that the project wouldn't be completed, but would be fully paid. He was belligerent stating he has been in the business for so many years. I told him as a matter of principle, I would hand deliver the balance of the project cost to his office, which I did. the same day we spoke.

In the next couple of weeks, unscheduled, unbeknownst to me, his team finished to the project. Unfortunately, the job they finished was substandard and did NOT match the rest of the house/roof. Terrible service and attitude. Had scheduled another meeting. He stood my up. Horrible.

Made several calls because our roof leaked and ceiling collapsed in our bedroom. 3 times woman on phone said they would be over at different times and never showed! Guess they have enough jobs and don't need ours. Very poor customer service.

I was anxious to get some vinyl siding repair work done on our apartment duplex before the winter weather set in. Couldn't be more pleased with the professional job that was done; although it was a small job it was handled to my complete satisfaction. These people have my highest respect and recommendation.
