Ken Reed has been in the construction business for over 20 years. Ken was a contractor in California and Chicago Illinois before coming to Florida. Ken and his wife have 5 children, four boys and one girl. Ken is dedicated to his family and church. Ken is also a Navy veteran.Ken worked for a local contractor when he first came to Florida. When the hurricanes of 2004 hit Florida ( 5 of them) Ken Traveled the State repairing the damage Hurricanes caused home owners. This helped him understand the need for better quality roofing in Florida. Many contractors were using the bare minimum materials for some of the new construction homes. Ken felt it was time for a Contractor to be on the side of the Home Owners in Florida. Ken started R&K Roofing in 2006 with a plan to offer quality roofing at a desirable price.

RK had started out perfect! Unfortunately a year later, I ran into issues that frustrated me greatly! I originally posted a bad review but to be honest they have jumped through hoops to correct the situation. A few different men tried to help but it wasn't until Douglas stepped in and made the magic happen! He was extremely professional, really listened to my concerns, walked the roof with me, and has backed up everything he said he would do.
He has been there since the first time he called and ensured the job was done the way I expected it to be done and how it should have been. I have been very impressed and appreciative of his dedication to the job. My roof looks beautiful and is solid now. Thank You Douglas and RK for doing the right thing!

R&K was absolutely a joy to work with, we had storm damage and they basically took care of the entire thing, I called my insurance company and after that they did all the leg work. Our representative that did our estimate is Brandon and he has been an absolute pleasure to do business with, always answered any questions and explained everything thoroughly.
Very professional. The crew that installed the roof worked 12 hours everyday and completed it in 3 days. And the entire office staff was helpful and efficient. Can't say enough good about this company. Highly recommend!

Andrew came and removed attic insulation that was blocking my soffits. After he was done the attic "breathed" once again. He was very professional and hard-working. I have a lot of confidence in R&K Roofing. I highly recommend their services. In fact, I am ready to have my roof replaced by them now and have an appointment set with Brandon. Plus, they use the #1 rated shingles according to Google.
They use Atlas Pinnacle Pristine shingles. They are a top notch roofing company! May 2025 They just finished installing my roof and I am very pleased with the quality and care they took during the process. I have recommended RK to my family and now they are using them for a roof replacement. They are the only roofers that I have found who use aluminum ridge vents which outlast plastic vents. Excellent and professional! Highly recommend!

Urgently needing repairs or replacement to both the main roof and a porch roof on a home I own, I was initially relieved to get a prompt (albeit amateurish) quote from R&K and signed up. Bad mistake! After a 2-month wait, I asked them to put on a tarp to prevent further rain damage. (I had to buy this for the princely sum of $2,000 but they were not willing to rebate any of this fee, even though they took the tarp and can reuse it.) The replacement of the roofs took 5 months - but resulted in unfinished facia & trim (not even primed!), an unattached gutter, lack of adequate flashing and a damaged driveway. When a new leak developed immediately after the original work, R&K's response was "it was built to code". So much for customer satisfaction!

Good Morning, R&K roofed my present house and rental house. I am waiting anxiously for response from Brandon when R&K will perform roofing work on 1 Cynthia Court. I have a leak and anxiously waiting to hear when R&K can perform the agreed work. I heard from Brandon that he would talk to David on Thursday last week and get back to me. I have not heard from him so far. Please help.

My 2 neighbors and I used R&K to install our roofs. The crew showed up early and left early evening. They worked consistently throughout the day. Our roofs look wonderful and I am very pleased with the company. Angela was very helpful in answering my questions. Corey and Doc came every day to check on the work that was done. I would certainly recommend their services.

We just bought a "new to us" home and it needed a new roof. We received 3 quotes and R&K basically came in the middle but we felt very confident after speaking with and meeting Jamie that the job would be done correctly. Our roof was not a small job but the crew had it completely done in less than a day and a half and they did a fantastic job!. I did have a few small issues to sort out- specifically gutter clean up after the fact but R&K support after the job was complete was great. They compensated us for the cleanup. We highly recommend them!

To be honest, we were dreading getting the roof done. We had to have three sky lights replaced plus total roof. We put it off as long as we could. We live in a townhouse and our neighbors that are connected to our townhouse also wanted roofs done, so there was a total of three roofs to be replaced. Our middle neighbor suggested using R&K Roofing, which in my opinion, was the right move. R&K Roofing will answer all your questions.
The job went smoothly, a little loud, but that was expected. The clean up was good, but it is hard to pick up all roof nails. I went behind them and also picked up nails. Our townhouse now looks newer! Very pleased with R&K Roofing and workers who worked very hard and long hours! Would definitely recommend R&K Roofing. Allen Arnold and Marion Sizemore

We got several estimates and R&K roofing gave us the best estimate for the highest quality material Pinnacle Pristine Architectural shingles with lifetime warranty on the shingles and 15 years on the labor. From the time we signed the contract to the roof was on in 2 weeks time. The workers did excellent worked and cleaned up after themselves. They were courteous and very professional. We highly recommend them and would use them again if he owned another house. Thank you guys for a job well done.
