Southern Roofing & Insulating

Due to recent storms in the area, roofing companies were completely booked. This one wasn't and that should've been my first red flag. I set up an appointment and made sure my wife was home well before they arrived. Upon their arrival, they remained in the worktruck, in the driveway for just a few moments before leaving. About 30 minutes later, I get a phone call informing me that the entire roof needed to be replaced.

I'm guessing they did their inspection through a pair of binoculars (extreme sarcasm). What a joke. I wouldn't use this company if they were the only roofing company in the area. Good luck should you choose to do so. Very unprofessional and zero customer service

The positives.my roof doesn't leak and the office staff was extremely sweet. The negatives. Bob jr is more concerned with reviews than making his customer happy. After repeated texts and emails to get them back out to finish what he promised would be done (the rain guard that was removed was never reinstalled and they left my satellite dish dangling off the back of the house).

It wasn't until I text him asking where I should leave a review at that he finally got back with me and swore he would have it done the following Monday. Bob JR showed up at my house and I thought it was to complete the overdo b punch list items. He showed up to ask me if I'm mad at him and if I'm going to give him a bad review. He said he wasn't there to do the repairs himself.

He literally showed up because he is afraid of a bad review. I told him to forget it and that I would hire a professional company to finish HIS work. I hope I never need to use the warranty because I highly doubt they would ever come back out to make good on their end.

Super friendly staff a world of things that I didn't think could be made if you need it made they can do it

We've had a great experience with Southern Roofing! Bob Stevens, Jr. was very informative and responsive when we needed him. What we liked most about their work is the fact that they hand drove every nail they used. The roof took 2 days instead of one because they were extremely careful and meticulous. We've had several strong storms since getting the roof and No Leaks!

They cleaned up well and there was no permanent damage to any of our plants and bushes. Another great point.this was the first roofing team we've seen where the workers used safety ropes and harnesses. We like a company that is truly concerned about worker safety! If there was one thing that we wished they could've done differently, it was the nailing of tarps to the sides of our house.

I asked them not to do that and, as a result, we had a couple of small tears in some of our window screens from falling tiles. But, this was not a big deal. Price wise, they were slightly more expensive than their competitors, but it was more than worth it! (The roofing company we used the last time we had our roof replaced (10 years ago) was a disaster. They were the cheapest bid, too. You get what you pay for!) Thank you, Bob and Team!

UPDATE: NO I will not take my review down. Sad how much a review constitutes how a business should treat their paying customers. Bob Stevens, the owner, will not stop harassing my family and I to take this post down. He has even resorted to bribery offering $100 to take this review down because its "bad for business" well sorry if you don't respond in a timely matter and stand behind your work.

It was not until AFTER I made this post that men were actually sent to the house to do some repairs that I hope are good. A day after the repair, Bob has been calling my father NONSTOP to convince me to take this review down. He has even resorted to finding me on Facebook to reach out. Treat your customers right and the rest will follow! All this would have been prevented if this company had taken the time to stand behind their work.

I have a collection of the attempts that Bob has gone to such lengths just to take down my review. I would not have anything bad to say if our experience was anything less than acceptable. Sorry but actions speak louder than words especially if you're conducting an ETHICAL business. My review does not stop anyone from contacting Southern Roofing for future business, my review serves as a caution that this has happened to US, that this is OUR experience, as well as this being MY BIASED OPINION.

I'm also wondering if he recklessly called the other bad reviews on this page as well or are we the only ones. Shame. Had shingles installed in 2018 and there has been leaks. We've called several times on MULTIPLE different days of each passing month for a repairman to come by and they never showed up. We've even resorted to emailing the company to no avail with NO responses! Unprofessional and the quality of work is low grade. Receptionist is rude and not helpful, employees don't seem to care for their customers.

Southern Roofing did a fantastic job. They made a stressful situation very easy. Southern Roofing was always available to answer questions and never made me feel pressured to go forward until we were ready. When we decided on a new roof, it was installed within a week with attention to detail, care, and professionalism. I would highly recommend Southern Roofing to anyone!

Punctual, courteous, and honest. Southern did an amazing job replacing the roof on my house. Very down to earth and make you feel valued as a customer. Glad I picked them for my project and I highly recommend their services to anyone looking to repair or replace a roof.

Bob and his team were so amazing and helpful. the speed at which they work and quality was over what i expected, especially how cheap the price was. I called 3 other roofing companies and they were crazy expensive and were trying to up sell me a bunch of bs stuff. But Bob told me straight to the point and was so friendly, he talks to you like he known you for a while which i like. The team left no mess and debris around. Bob Stevens jr is in professional the jobs are half way done way over priced and all around a horrible company to deal with I hope the better business bureau shuts the doors on this place they pay there help $8.00 an hour after 30 years with the company and there best help at that please don't use this company unless your prepared to get robbed.

If you need a roof or need things done, this is the place to do it. They answer the phone every time I called and answered any questions I had. They worked really well around my baby schedule to not interfere with nap times etc. I am highly satisfied we choose them. Plus the roof looks amazing and the skylight bring in even more light into our home. Very pleased to say the lest.

Bob and his team did a great job on our replacement roof. The team had the old roof removed and the new one in place including the replacement skylight in 1.5 days, left the area super clean and followed up with a phone call and visit to make sure the job met our expectations. Highly recommend Southern Roofing to anyone needing top quality work and first class customer service.

We were shopping around for good deals to get our entire roof done on our home, mostly based on ratings from previous customers. They gave us an affordable quote so we gave them a try. My husband signed the contract on a Monday and the crew started the next day. Not only was the staff knowledgeable and helpful when we were deciding what to do, but they replaced parts of our roof that could have been a serious problem if left untreated, cleaned up their mess as they went, we very efficient with their time, and the roof looks great. I would highly recommend Southern Roofing.
